A few things you might be wondering
Questions, answered.
What is Better Media Share?
Better Media Share is a Twitch video-request extension with a hosted dashboard for streamers and moderators. Viewers select videos and request them with Bits; the team reviews the queue and controls playback in OBS or the dashboard.
Does it work with OBS Studio?
Yes. Add the private player URL from Setup as an OBS Browser source. Select OBS for playback and use the dashboard to approve, reorder or skip requests.
Which videos can viewers request?
Eligible YouTube videos, Twitch VODs and Twitch Clips. Controls depend on the provider: Twitch Clips play whole at normal speed. Private, restricted or non-embeddable videos may be unavailable.
Can moderators approve videos before they play?
Yes. Turn queue moderation on and give moderators approval permission. Ordinary viewer requests wait in Incoming. Trusted viewers can bypass review. Each moderator signs in with their own Twitch account.
Do viewers need to leave Twitch to request?
Requests are submitted inside the Twitch extension when it is available and active on the channel. The website is for channel setup and queue management.
Are Channel Points or free viewer requests supported?
The viewer request flow uses Bits, not Channel Points or chat commands. Broadcasters and authorized moderators can add media manually without Bits.
Can anyone install the extension yet?
Not yet. The Twitch extension is awaiting approval and release. You can explore the website dashboard and guides, but public viewer requests are not available. Hosted Test access is limited to eligible test accounts and reviewers.
